Graduation Ceremony – Single Mother Livelihood Project

The Eva Myers Foundation proudly hosted the graduation ceremony for its Single Mother Livelihood Project, Class of 2024, under the theme: “Empowerment Through Skills: Building a Brighter Future for Our Children.” 

Fifteen dedicated single mothers were awarded certificates in skills training, specializing in tailoring or cosmetology. The event was honored by the presence of Madame Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Liberia’s 24th President, Africa’s first female president, and Chair and Founder of the EJS Center for Women & Development. Distinguished speakers included representatives from the Government of Liberia, the United Nations, civil society, and various NGOs.
 
We are excited to announce that the second cohort of this transformative program is set to begin in March 2025.

Eva Myers Foundation Inaugural Gala

December 10, 2022

The Eva Myers Foundation hosted its Inaugural Gala on December 10, 2022, at the Westin Hotel Ballroom in Annapolis, Maryland. The primary objective of the gala was to generate funds for the establishment of an Early Childhood Development Center. This inaugural event successfully brought together 150 attendees and raised 30% of the targeted fundraising goal. The Inaugural Gala serves as a prelude to an upcoming Annual Gala.
